What i love about this is it reminds me of my favourite artist 'Louis wain'. i love the expressions on the cats but on to the artwork side of it, it is beautifully done, the colours have such warmth to them which makes it look like a classic painting. I have never written a critique before so you will have to excuse me, but i would buy this, frame it and hang it on my wall. Perfection for me. Even the detail which has gone into the fish is amazing and they aren't the main focus of this work to me (being a cat lover). the shine on the apples is amazing too and the frill on the curtains and the flower details. This is what i would call 'real art'. Oh and i just noticed those little cat bows too. this is so beautiful i want to buy it.

What I love about this image is that it tells a story through the movement and the expression of the animals. We have the cats who are looking at the fishes (and, probably, thinking on how to catch and eat them) and the other cats that have took out the fruits of the basket. In a way, these things make the image cute and "happy" because, though the fishes are probably suffering, the cats are playing, and this is a happy thing.

In addition to the movement, I think that the color of the image is so good because everything is kind of brownish/reddish, with a light well reflected and distributed, and a warmth sensation beneath all this.
